(Course code: VSIND1)

Level

First cycle

Description

Important information - The content of the course has changed as a result of COVID19, in order for it to be delivered online.

Since Gothenburg University has made the decision to limit all campus teaching until 31/10, the course will not be able to have any physical meetings, but will have to be offered completely at a distance. The course coordinator has planned for this scenario and is experienced in teaching distance learning. Read more about the decision on GU's website.

This summer the Individual Project Work 1, will explore socially engaged arts practice with specific focus on questions of place and communities. The course will support students to develop projects (either as individuals or in partnership with other students enrolled on the course). Given the circumstances of COVID19 students will be encouraged to critically respond to the challenges and opportunities of arts in the public realm at a time of social distancing.

- During the summer there will be no access to HDK-Valand locals / There is no possibility to access any technique.

Teaching staff include Professor Mick Wilson, Magnus Haglund, Dr Sarah Tuck, Kjell Caminha, Åsa Sonjasdotter
